Marawi residents are languid about extending the martial law in Mindanao. Exceeding prolocutor have much strength to stop such crisis but did not move even a second to redeem a city from being planned in such a mob. Houses that are protected and the accumulated city’s liberation are the deeds of martial law. In fact, there are no actual rebellions and invasion in Mindanao. Let’s be honest here, no more sugarcoating and rigmarole. Is the martial law needed to rehabilitate Marawi? I don’t see such things like that, except they made martial law an excuse to suspend bidding on and speed up reconstruction projects that is supposed to be done already. The martial law that we experienced today is way too far from what our country experienced during the authoritarianism of Marcos. Those times were more crucial than we thought if we lived at that time. Soldiers rounded up as professionals, sultans, religious leaders and officials of the government were charge up for rebellion without such strong evidence to prove that they deserve to be convicted, it is because of the warrants issued by the court. Hunger and terrorism will not be prevented by extending martial law in Mindanao. Fire fights has been belch in Marawi because of the declaration. Even some senators said that it was unnecessary. Martial law proclamation did not help to prevent the bombing; you all think that extending it would prevent the future bombing? Of course not, there are much more to avert the chaos and hunger in Mindanao. Extension of martial law is not an appropriate response to break the chaos from a chaotic island. Military should review game plans and policies instead of extending their military rule in Mindanao. Moreover: Extending the martial law or not, still it will not bring back our quondam life as a residents of Mindanao or the beam on our faces nor the extravagant enjoyment.
